My friend’s brother found this in a used book store and gave it to me as a graduation gift. T_T

HOLY CRAP THAT IS A LUCKY FIND! There are about 5000 of these in the world. That’s 0.05% of the current TFiOS print run.

I can tell my hand hurt that day because the J in the J Scribble does not go as low as what I consider to be the Platonic Ideal of the J Scribble.
I remember signing all those books and thinking that even if TFIOS sold double what any of my previous books had, a third of those signatures would eventually be pulped. (Books that go unsold are eventually destroyed and recycled; astonishingly, about 40% of books printed are eventually pulped, although the percentage is dropping.)
I’m so grateful that all those signatures got out into the world. Thanks to all involved here for taking good care of this one, from the original buy to the bookstore to bleedingmagic’s brother to bleedingmagic.
What a lucky, lucky book.

18.05.2014I learned yesterday that when you see a bee on the ground that isn’t moving, it’s not necessarily dead, it’s probably just dead tired from carrying lots of pollen and needs re-energising. So if you mix a tiny bit of water with some sugar and let it drink it will give it the boost it needs to continue on its way. Bizarrely, this exact thing happened today! I found a knackered bee, mixed up some sugar water, gave it a drink and watched it guzzle and guzzle then suddenly come back to life. It was amazing! Thank you patrick, it was an excellent tip that i’ll never forget and will continue to pass on to others!
